Za značkou Moichi stojí dvě ženy. Matka a dcera – Věrka a Dominika. Kromě značné části DNA sdílíme vkus a lásku k módě, tvoření a navrhování.

Vše začalo jako nápad tvrdohlavé dcery Dominiky. Před několika lety si uvědomila, jaké hrůzy se běžně dějí v módním průmyslu a rozhodla se podporovat slow fashion. Když ale hledala pečlivě ušité minimalistické kousky z organických materiálů, nemohla najít to, co si vysnila.

Rozhodla se tedy oslovit mamku Věrku a začaly spolu tvořit. Už takhle v její skříni pečovala o kousky, které si ušila mamka pro sebe, přežily už několik dekád a pořád vypadají perfektně bez ohledu na trendy. Po tom, co Věrka vytvořila několik kousků, bylo jasné, že this is it.

Než se oficiálně narodilo Moichi, nějaký čas to trvalo – sebrat kuráž a jít s „kůží na trh“ nebylo vůbec jednoduché. Pak ale přišla covidová pandemie a Věrka uvězněná v Rakovníku spolu s Dominikou v Praze se daly přes dálku do díla. První kousky jsme zveřejnily 8. května 2020.

Od té doby tvoříme módu s naším nejlepším vědomím a svědomím – pečlivě vybíráme materiály a s každým kouskem se opravdu mazlíme. Naše mikro kolekce snoubí východní a severský minimalismus, kvalitní organické materiály a elegantní střihy.

 

About us

Moichi is just two women who have quite many things in common. We’re Dominika and Věra, and apart from significant parts of DNA, we share a taste and love for fashion, designing, and crafting.

In the beginning, Moichi was an idea of a stubborn daughter. Mine. Dominika’s.

A few years ago, I realized that there are significant issues related to the fashion industry. When I started to look for carefully crafted minimalistic pieces made from organic materials, I couldn’t find what I was looking for.

Luckily for me, my mom, Věrka, has always been skilled in sewing. My wardrobe always contained some pieces sewn by my mom, which survived for decades regardless of trends.

After mom created several pieces for me, I knew this is it. I got many compliments wearing these, and I got an idea – let’s share these ideas and styles with other people. It took quite some time until Moichi was born. Actually, it was more than a year, and I had a tough time convincing mom to start this with me simply because she wasn’t confident enough to share her designs and work publicly.

The unfortunate personal situation caused by the covid-19 crisis served as motivation and impulse to make this happen, and on the 8th of May, Moichi officially started. 

Since then, Moichi is our quite demanding but super enjoyable leisure activity. For one of us, it is an escape from the digital world. For the other, it is an opportunity to take sometimes a tiny step back to a normal, healthy life.
